Draft. This page is a starting point and must be reviewed by a lawyer before Relay takes payments. Items in [brackets] need your details.
Who we are
Relay Companion (“Relay”, “we”) is operated by [legal name of the business], [registered address, India]. Contact: hello@relaycompanion.com.
What stays on your Mac
- Your interview setup, resume, job descriptions, project notes and saved sessions are stored on your Mac, encrypted where you turn encryption on.
- Audio is transcribed locally on your Mac. Relay does not upload or store recordings.
- Screenshots are taken only when you tap capture, and are stored with that session on your Mac.
What is sent to an AI provider
When you ask for a question, an answer or feedback, Relay sends the text needed to produce it (your question or answer, your interview setup, included documents and recent conversation, and any screenshots you chose to include) to the AI provider that powers your plan, such as OpenAI. Their processing is governed by their own terms and privacy policy. We do not use your content to train models.
What we collect on this website
- If you join the beta, we store your email address, the date you signed up and your approximate country, to send you beta invites and product updates about Relay.
- Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard request data (such as IP address) to deliver and protect the site.
Payments
When paid plans launch, payments will be handled by [payment provider]. We will not see or store your full card details.
Your choices and rights
You can export or delete your saved sessions in the Relay app at any time. To access, correct or delete your beta sign-up or account data, email us and we’ll respond within [30] days. Where the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 or other law gives you further rights, we will honour them.
Retention
We keep beta sign-up emails until the beta ends or you ask us to remove them. Data on your Mac is under your control and stays until you delete it.
Changes
We’ll update this page if our practices change and note the date above.
